Am I really stupid?
Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 7:18PM Last night I spent a couple of hours drinking cheap beers and telling funny stories at my friend elle michelle's house. When the time came for me to head home I decided to call Chicago Carriage Cab to rescue me from the awful blizzard that was happening outside.
Note: Technically it wasn't a blizzard and technically I was just lazy and didn't want to walk the four blocks home in my suede flats with no socks.
The cab pulled up 20 minutes later (I seriously could have walked faster) and I apologized to the driver for having to drive me .9 miles. Less than 2 minutes later we pulled up in front of my house and I handed the driver my credit card. He was shocked that I didn't have $5 cash.
"Sorry I only use my debit or credit card. I haven't carried cash in ages"
"You should carry cash on you in this neighborhood."
...silence...
"You are pretty stupid"
...silence...
"They'll hurt you."
...silence...
"I've lived here for almost 3 years and I've been fine so far but thanks."
"Well, that doesn't mean you aren't stupid."
Honestly I couldn't believe he was calling me stupid. I get the point that he was trying to make but I'm not going to carry cash just in case I get robbed. If you rob me in front of my house, you can take my puggle and my Kate Spade bags but sorry I won't have any cash money for you.
FYI: His cab number was 2053, so if you see him make sure to avoid him or he'll call you names and push you down on the playground.

Whoooa, what a shithead! I hope you report him.
No I tried to report a Chicago cab driver once for forcing me to take out cash at an ATM but the process to do it is pointless and requires A LOT of work.
